While looking for an icon to put on my main website to link back to this blog, I have found the amount of decrepitude depends on what you call the place:
Built by the current landlord's parents, this is a cabin on Lake Wabesa in McFarland, Wisconsin, a city with a history of summer cottages and great fishing. His dad, who use to drive truck and deliver varnish to the furniture makers in Rockford, Illinois, asked a bunch of carpenters to come up to his cabin "to fish"back in the late 20s when the economy started going south, and then had them help him finish the place! The roof was put on "the day Lindberg landed" (May 21, 1928).
